Hands-on, inquiry-based learning in agriscience allows students to both ask and discover answers to many of the questions and challenges facing agriculture today. With a growing emphasis on STEM education, teachers are challenged with the task of creating lessons that engage the minds of our students while tackling real-world problems with innovative solutions. Lego Mindstorm systems encourage students to brainstorm in order to find creative solutions to problems and then develop them through a process of selecting, building, testing and evaluating. This workshop will focus on integrating this and similar systems and ideas into a traditional agriscience program.
